Mobile Cardiac Telemetry (MCT) offers physicians the most comprehensive arrhythmia detection in an ambulatory care setting.
It is especially important to monitor for Atrial Fibrillation patients using MCT because it tracks the entire onset of the event for the entire duration. For post ablation patients, MCT is an ideal means to monitor the success of the procedure.
Mobile Cardiac Telemetry tracks patients on a continuous beat to beat basis and the full disclosure is accessible by technician query. This is a major advantage over Cardiac Event Monitor which will traditionally records 30 to 90 seconds before and 30 to 90 seconds after an event.
For patients, the MCT is easy to use and eliminates most patient compliance issues. When an event occurs, the unit is integrated with a cellular device which transmits the event data to our cardiac center for attention.
Mobile Cardiac Telemetry offers:
• Beat-to-beat monitoring, to auto detect AFib, Bradycardia, Tachycardia and Pauses.
• Automated transmissions, eliminating the need for patients to transmit data over the phone, enhancing patient compliance.
• Flexible technology, allowing bidirectional data flow and enabling eCardio to remotely
program the device while being worn by the patient.
• LED status indicators for Monitoring, Battery and Communication help patients use
the monitor.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
The monitor is indicated for the diagnostic evaluation of patients who have a demonstrated need for cardiac monitoring, or patients with symptoms that may be due to cardiac arrhythmias. These symptoms include, but are not limited to, dizziness or lightheadedness, syncope of unknown origin and infrequent palpitations.
